Nordisk Morris Minor Lager A/S

Sri Lanka

Report June 2004

I am now back home from a pleasant trip from the 20th of May to the 14th of June. Though it is time for the monsoon, there is a lot of sunshine. Of course there is some heavy rain, but mostly during the night. In the daytime a shower is often less than half an hour and it is not cold water coming down. I can see that more tourists are now visiting at this time of the year.

I have made a deal with the owner of Happy Banana in Unawatuna. In return for advertising his hotel, he has promised to be fair and take extra good care of us. Should you like visiting, you can see more on the page about Happy Banana.

Much has developed well although not as fast as expected. Buildings are coming up and the first two are under roof now. In a couple of weeks they should be completed and we are starting on the next very soon. When 500 to 600 square meters are ready, we will move the company. Hopefully within half a year.

Also the Minor for the children is progressing. Chandana has made a model in sheet metal and now it looks right. After the final touch it is planed to make a mould and a first sample in fibreglass. This should be completed within the next three months. The mechanicals are also considered and some parts are in progress.

Now the model is ready.
